What we are looking for

We are interested in well-defined ideas about working waterfronts, access, infrastructure, coastal change and the character of shared places. A strong pitch has one central question, explains why a general reader might care and shows what the piece will help them understand.

Make the proposal specific

Tell us the proposed angle, the main points you would cover and the form that best suits the idea. Explain any limits or uncertainty that matter to the subject. Avoid broad promises, unsupported claims and pitches that depend on readers treating one local example as a universal model.
